Dining

Like the other pages, I wanted to provide all my visitors with some great places to grab some grub. Of course, Las Vegas offers the typical McDonald's, Chipotle, and Margaritaville...so, I wanted to review the places that require a little more than just, "Yea, I'll take a number two with fries." Not that those places are bad, but if you're going to visit Las Vegas, then fine dining should be on the menu.

Bouchon: (2010)
Okay, if you haven't seen Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations: Las Vegas, then you need to before you go to Vegas. [Check it out here.] If Tony says a place is great in sin city, then it has to be. Well, Tony was right. Thomas Keller's Bouchon, located on the 6th floor of the Venetian hotel, is one of the finest dining establishments this writer has ever experienced. From the restaurant's greeting to paying the bill, the experience is one to be remembered. I can assure everyone that whatever is on your plate at Bouchon will probably not be ordered again until you return.

Be sure to make reservations well in advance of your trip as the restaurant is not very large. Also, make sure you go to Bouchon to EAT; not graze on a salad. Have a simple breakfast, and a relatively light lunch a few hours before your reservation. Take advantage of the seven course experience as well. Appetizers, Soup, Salad, Main Course, and Desserts should all be considered for the full experience. Keep in mind to that places like this will offer some pretty grand specials as well, which I highly recommend. [The bone-in veal chop is divine.] Plan your evening around this place as it should be one of the highlights of your trip. All in all, for the experience, Bouchon is reasonably priced. I'd say it's a five star restaurant with a four star price. Bon Appetite.

Although a very passionate entrepreneur in the fields of marketing and music, I also hold a daily full-time job as an analyst. I've had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas several times since turning 18. Sure, I've been there often, and there are no signs of stopping. Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
