Las Vegas Resorts:
My gift to everyone: Reviews and links to the resorts, both on and off the strip, in Las Vegas. I've also added a few tips here and there along with my own personal reviews of resorts I have stayed at thus far. I have been through about 90% of the resorts on the strip, but I will attempt to keep most of these comments room and amenity specific. Email me any questions. Enjoy!

Resorts on the strip:
Here are some of the websites for Las Vegas Resorts located on the South side of Las Vegas Blvd:

Mandalay Bay

Looking for more central Las Vegas Boulevard, look no further than these great resorts:

Mandarin Oriental
Vdara
Aria
Planet Hollywood
  - I had the chance to stay at PH in 2008. Although still being renovated from the Aladdin style of it's former name, the room was quite comfortable. If modern and mainstream is the mood one seeks, I would look no further than Planet Hollywood. Our room was a standard Hollywood Hip with two queen beds. The amenities were basic, but the bathroom with a whirlpool tub AND glass shower was pretty awesome. Even though we weren't in our room very much, I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
Bellagio
Paris
Caesar's Palace
  - My first experience in Las Vegas happened at Caesar's. Talk about immaculate! The rooms were clean and provided all the amenities one could need. Since it was a family trip, we all had Forum Tower Deluxe rooms. Talk about the life for being 18 in 2005. The bathrooms provided both a spa tub and glass shower; not to mention the flat screen TV above the dual sinks. Yup, I could catch my morning music videos while taking a shower. The beds were great too. Although I haven't been back to Caesar's since 2005, it has definitely kept its standards high for how long it has been on the strip. If you want to catch a piece of the luxurious side, then I would check out the Hangover on DVD. Talk about a sweet suite. I would definitely recommend Caesar's to any first timers who can get in.

Flamingo
Bally's

  •  TIP: Walking the strip and seeing the resorts is a great way to spend a day during one's first time to Las Vegas. It will grant the opportunity to see everything the resorts on the strip have to offer. It'll also help determine where to plan the next trip. Just remember to bring good walking shoes; these places are very large in size.
Looking for more Northern Strip, then check out these great resorts:

Imperial Palace
  - Affordable and simple. Imperial Palace held our bags for a night while in Vegas for Spring Break 2009. It's a clean resort with all the basics of a typical hotel. Nothing fancy here. If traveling to Las Vegas and don't care for all the luxurious amenities, consider IP. Just be sure to memorize how to get back to the rooms. It can be very easy to get lost with the layout of the hotel.

Harrah's
Mirage
 - "Welcome to the fabulous Mirage." Everyone has seen National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation (If not, then do so before heading to Vegas) and this resort is nothing less than fabulous. Okay, so it has been updated since Chevy Chase's day there, but I was able to stay here for the first portion of the 2009 Spring Break trip in a comped room. The resort has currently been renovating all the rooms for a more modern flare. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds which were perfect after nights of extensive partying. It is clearly a landmark on the Las Vegas strip complete with everything one needs. It books fast, so if reservations can be made, then I would highly recommend it.

Venetian
 - Yes, as crazy as it sounds, I have been here twice; Once in 2008 and again in 2010. Words cannot describe what the Venetian is all about. From the time one enters the main doors, the display of elegance and Italian charm is everywhere. Every room is a suite, meaning if living the high roller life isn't in the cards at other resorts, consider this place. Whether one king or two queen beds, every room has (at least) a separate tub and shower, dual sinks, separate vanity with powder bench, a step down living area and probably about three flat screen TVs. One things I personally enjoy is how security is maintained near the hotel elevators meaning that unless someone is a guest of the hotel (or with a guest of the hotel), they are not permitted in the hotel portion of the resort. Looking for world-class and five star? Then, check out the Venetian resort.
Palazzo
Treasure Island
Wynn
Encore
Circus Circus
Riviera
Stratosphere

  •  TIP: When booking a room, I know many people turn to the discount travel sites (Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak, etc.). Keep in mind that these sites will not always have the best deals for rooms in Las Vegas. The best way to get great deals direct is by signing up for the rewards programs these resorts offer. Nowadays, there are only two or three for every resort (compared to each hotel having their own). Refer to the Blog page for some examples. Stay smart and have fun!
